Marilyn Reynolds Hogan

Mrs. Marilyn Reynolds Hogan, age 92, departed from this life on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow.  Marilyn was born July 29, 1930, a daughter of the late Bert Russell and Grace (Galloway) Reynolds.  She attended and graduated from Cave City High School, Class of 1948. She married Genie Bertram Hogan on September 3, 1948.  After raising her children, she worked as a salesclerk for J.C. Penney.  Marilyn was an exquisite quilter, and quite the cook, being known for her specialty, Italian Crème Cakes.  She was a member of Horse Cave Church of Christ.

In addition to her husband of seventy-three years, Genie Bertram Hogan; she is survived by two children, Greg Hogan of Cave City, and Cindy Binkley and her husband Ron of Fairbanks, Alaska; Five grandchildren; Tiffany Walters and husband Rob, Rachel Rice and husband Casey, Randy Binkley and wife Judy, Katja Meyer and husband Pat, and Cyndel Binkley and husband Marcelo.  Three great-grandchildren; Jackson Rice, Dorian Hendrix, and Dylan Walters, along with a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents; she was preceded in death by one brother, B.R. Reynolds, and a sister, Judelle Bunnell.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Marilyn will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, from the Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel in Cave City, with interment to follow at Cave City Cemetery. Bro. Wayne Hatcher will officiate the services.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 14, 2023,  from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home, and again on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.
