Johnny Glen Waddell

Mr. Johnny Glen Waddell, age 63, of Cave City, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. He was born on July 10, 1960, to the late Howard & Rachel Naomi Harper Waddell. Johnny was known for his excavating, dozer work, and being a mechanic. He was a car enthusiast, loved fishing, had a big heart and loved his grandchildren. He had attended the Cave City Baptist Church in the past.

He is survived by two daughters; April Gail Ginez and husband Pablo and Patricia Lynn Sturgeon, one step-son; Eric Ray Sturgeon, all of Cave City, two sisters; Theresa Smith and husband Steve of Knob Lick, and Linda Waddell of Georgia. Six grandchildren; Cody Ginez, Alexis Hill, Bianca Ginez, Jonathan Jewell, Erica Sturgeon, and Dillan Sturgeon, and beloved fur baby; Chief.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his companion; Eva "Dawn” Shank.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2024, from Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in the Cave City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again Thursday morning after 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Mr. Waddell.
